Utopia Sound Stage

Utopia Sound Stage, created as an important recording space for Todd Rundgren in the 1980’s, features historic artifacts within a ‘Black Box’ and can be configured as a concert room, lecture room, or private party club room. The high-ceilinged space, designed with an electrical grid for 200 light points, is completely soundproof and often used for rehearsals and recordings by national and international bands.

The Bear Cafe

The Bear Café, a fine dining restaurant, began 50 years ago. It has recently undergone a multi-milliondollar renovation and is once again one of the most infamous dining spots north of NYC.

‘ The Bear ’ as it is affectionately known, was created to feed the musicians recording at Albert Grossman’s nearby legendary Bearsville Studios. Guests over the years have included MeatLoaf, David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Alice Cooper and the members of The Band. Albert was a great gourmet.

Today, Chef Josh Rajala and General Manager

Christopher J Hack are re-interpreting Albert’s philosophy, providing the same level of outstanding cuisine, delivered with warmth and hospitality.
